Staffordshire Moorlands Ramble - 30th January 2011
On a cold but mercifully dry and still winter Sunday, about twenty owners and their beardies enjoyed a 4 mile walk over the Roaches in the Staffordshire Moorlands, ending the afternoon at a super tea-rooms with gorgeous views towards Tittesworth Reservoir. It was great to see so many new faces in the party and we look forward to seeing you and your beardies at our future events this year!.

Inkberrow Fun Day - 8th May 2011
Despite a lower than normal attendance, our 2011 Inkberrow event proved highly popular and we spent most of the day under sunny skies. Our very grateful thanks go to Jane Palmer, the judge of our fun classes which were well supported, and to Liz Jay who drove all the way from N Yorks to judge the working tests. As ever, Russ Johnson kept the whole show together with his music and expert commentary and on behalf of all who attended we wish Russ and Anne the very best for their big day in June!.

Sherwood Forest Ramble - 22nd May 2011
A downpour across the Mansfield area prior to the walk gave way to a fine but breezy afternoon - perfect for walking with beardies! A group of fifteen owners and their dogs repeated the circular route taken last year from Old Clipstone via Edwinstowe and forest paths. An enjoyable day for humans and beardies alike.

Lyth Hill Ramble - 19th June 2011
A select band of thirteen members and prospective members struck it lucky with reasonable weather for their ramble across Lyth Hill in Shropshire, and all enjoyed the get together afterwards at the Three Fishes pub in Bayston Hill for sausage and chips. Thanks to Ian for organising the ramble and the refreshments!.

Monsal Trail Ramble - 17th July 2011
This was the first Midland Branch event for the past couple of years to have experienced rain, but it WAS in the Peak District! The route of nearly 6 miles took us nearly 4 hours, but there was a fair amount of up and down hill and frequent stops to enjoy the views. The seventeen participants and their beardies nevertheless enjoyed the day - with plenty of mud and grit to wash out on returning home!.

North Cotswold Ramble - 21st August 2011
Surprisingly, there were only eight BCC members and their beardies on this ramble in such a beautiful area and on such a beautiful day. Back in the pretty village of Whichford, the walk was rounded off with a pub garden lunch where we dallied until mid-afternoon. Perfect!.

Brownhills Ramble - 25th September 2011
About twenty Beardies and their humans walked a circuit taking in some attractive countryside between Pelsall and Norton Canes, including a fair bit orf the local canal network. The weather held until the end of the walk when it started to rain, but by then some of the beardies were wet through from the canal anyway! Our thanks to Martin and Sue Holden for the photos.

November Party - 27th November 2011
The now-traditional pre-Christmas party attracted a fair number of owners and their dogs who engaged in the usual fun and games. Many thanks to the Committee and especially Pat Wincott for organising another lovely event.
