Inkberrow Fun Day & Making Memories Event - 9th June 2019
What a fantastic day! A really good turnout of members and their beardies was rewarded by good weather and a lovely atmosphere as the Midland Branch joined forces with the main club committee to host a joint Fun Day and launch an archives initiative under the title Making Memories. Hopefully all who attended will have good memories of a day when everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves!
Churnet Valley Ramble - 14th July 2019
Our second ramble of the season blessed with pleasant weather and a party of fourteen beardie owners and their beardies. This must be our sixth visit to the beautiful Churnet Valley near Leek in glorious Staffordshire. It followed the usual format - a walk alongside the tranquil Cauldon Canal followed by a good lunch at the oh-so-traditional Black Lion pub nestling close to the canal and railway station at Consall. Most of the party chose to walk the return leg to Froghall whilst a few decided to take the steam train. All in all, an excellent day enjoyed by all who came.
Teversal Trails Ramble - 8th September 2019
A beautiful, warm autumn day was the reward for the handfull of Beardie owners and their dogs who came to walk the Silverhill Trail on the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border. Once a large coal-mine with its associated connecting railway, the site has been reclaimed by nature with a bit of help from the County Council to form a country park with ponds, woods and trails. This was our first time here but hopefully not our last.
