Cotswold Ramble - Ilmington - 15th April
A glorious sunny but cold day saw about a dozen members and their beardies complete the second ramble held around the lovely Warwickshire village of Ilmington, nestling as it does on the northern scarp of the Cotswolds. The 'traditional' finish at the Red Lion beer garden was much appreciated. Our thanks to Neil Harber for leading the walk and to him and Bev Henwood for providing the many photos.

Inkberrow Fun Day - 20th May
The unseasonally cold May weather had not improved a lot by the time of the Fun Day, but at least it stayed dry, and because temperatures were more suitable for Beardie activities the event saw more members and friends through the gates. Hats off to the Committee for keeping everyone happy, and our thanks to Ellen Sullivan and Ron McCawley for judging the fun classes and working tests, and to Russ for his excellent PA commentary and music.

Sherwood Ramble - 17th June
This ramble was the closest thing to a beach romp in Nottinghamshire! A mercifully dry day after days of rain saw an enthusiastic band of Beardie owners out on a 3 mile walk in the woods and heathland east of Mansfield. Thanks to the photo contributors for recording the event for us to enjoy.

Beardie Bounce - 22nd July
After a diabolical Spring and early Summer, the weather for our Beardie Bounce day was gorgeous. (As were, of course, all those Beardies assembled for fun and games!) With a delicious spread to round off the afternoon the twenty-odd members and friends enjoyed this laid-back, convivial occasion at a super new venue. Can't wait for next year! Apologies for the large number of egg & spoon photos but thanks to Corinne there are some chill photos as well.

Lyth Hill Ramble - 12 August
This is the third year the Branch has organised a ramble over the Lyth Hill Country Park and woodlands and another dry day was had by the small but regular band of walkers with their Beardies, followed by a meal and refreshment at the Three Fishes pub in Bayston Hill. Our thanks to Sue and Martin for providing some lovely photos of the day.

Brownhills Ramble - 30th September
Under often leaden skies a small group of beardies and their owners repeated last year's ramble aound the canals, wetlands and heathland north of pelsall, near Brownhills. We welcomed four new faces to the event and hope they enjoyed the experience! Thanks to Bev Henwood fo clicking the shutter on this occasion.

Churnet Valley Ramble - 14th October
A party of nearly twenty members and friends and their Beardies were rewarded with a fine autumn day for their walk along the Caldon Canal from Froghall to Consall. After a laid-back and sociable couple of hours in the garden of the Black Lion at Consall, the majority of our travellers let the train take the strain for the return leg to Froghall. Needless to say, with such beautiful weather in such fine scenery, everyone enjoyed the day.

November Party - 25th November
Wow, what a good turn-out there was to this year's Midland Branch November Party at the Cheswick Green Village Hall, Solihull. Over 23 Beardies and their Mums and Dads attended from all over to make this a very special day. Pat and her band of helpers worked hard to make this a great event for both dogs and their owners.
