BCC Platinum Jubilee Open Show - 5th April 2025
Judges' Critique
Many thanks to the Bearded Collie Club for inviting me to judge the Platinum Jubilee Open Show. I had a wonderful time judging some lovely specimens of our breed, that were all presented in such great coats and good condition. With diminishing entries world wide, it was great to be presented with such good quality exhibits. There were a few straight shoulders and light eyes, but in the main the breed presented to me is doing well. Thanks to everyone for entering under me, it was truly an honour and a pleasure to judge your dogs. Many thanks to my ring stewards who helped me throughout the day and also to Maureen Sale and the Committee who ensured we met up with many old friends and acquaintences. It just did not seem possible that we left England for Canada 35 years ago - the world of dog showing, a great place for life long friendships.
