Midland Branch has always been very active and we try to hold an event each month in various locations from May until the Christmas party in November. We are grateful for all the informal help we receive but Branch rules dictate we have to have 4 committee members including one officer and without new committee members the Branch will not be able to continue.

	Sunday 16th June - Churnet Valley Ramble Meet at Hetty's Tea Room at Froghall Basin (car parking adjacent) between 10:30 and 10:45 for an 11:00 a.m. start. We shall walk along the beautiful Caldon Canal towpath to the Black Lion Inn at Consall, where lunch is available. Following lunch, there are two options, either to re-trace our steps to Froghall or (for fitter participants) to take a higher level route back to the starting point. We have featured the Churnet Valley on about eight occasions in the last 13 years because it is a particular favourite, so we hope to see a happy band of Beardies with their owners once again this year! We should love to see members from our Northern Branch on this ramble, as it is not that far south of Cheshire and Greater Manchester.
	Sunday 21st July - Lyth Hill Get-Together Having held get-togethers in past years at this venue (see the photos on the Branch website - Past Events page) we hope that you will join us again either just to enjoy a day out or a walk with your Beardies off-lead at this popular spot. 	Sunday 8th September - Cotgrave Country Park Ramble A gentle walk around this beautiful country park created on the site of the Cotgrave colliery which even has a secure fenced off dog pool, followed by a visit to the very dog friendly Manvers Arms just half a mile away in Cotgrave Village Meet from 10:30 a.m. (for 11 a.m. start) at the Country Park car park on Hollygate Lane, Cotgrave, NG12 3JW.
