Sunday, 26 April 2026 – Arnside RambleMeet at the car park opposite the fish and chip shop at the end of the prom LA5 0HF. People can either park in that car park (it is a bit 'rough and ready') or go to the other end of the prom where there are lots of parking spaces. Please meet from 1.30pm, in plenty of time for the walk to start at 2pm. As always we will walk to the cafe where we can have refreshments and then wander back - ramble is flat and not too long. |

Sunday, 7 June 2026 – Formby RambleMeet in the Main National Trust Car Park at L37 1LJ at 10.30am, ready for a 11am set off. This very popular ramble goes through Woods, sand dunes and on the beach. The car parks are set to be re-opened from the end of March 2026 so we are allowing a bit of leeway for delays! Bring a snack for the picnic table stop part way round! |

Sunday, 27 September 2026 – Singing Ringing Tree (Burnley) RambleThis ramble is a short South Pennines walk close to Clowbridge Reservoir taking in the unique wind powered sound sculpture of the Singing Ringing Tree overlooking panoramic views of the Pennines. This is an easy to moderate walk and the paths have been well maintained, although it is advisable to wear stout shoes or boots. There are also two stiles. We will meet at the free car park at Crown Point BB11 3QZ (grid ref SD848288) at 12.30pm, the walk to commence at 1pm. Following the walk we can call in at the nearby New Waggoners for a well-deserved drink. |

Sunday, 15 November 2026 – Christmas Party 1pm-4pm (hall open from 12.30pm)This event is becoming a firm favourite with members and is an afternoon of fun and games including pass the parcel, sausage eating contests, temptation alley and musical chairs. We are hoping that Santa Paws will pop into our Grotto with treats for Beardies on the “Nice List” and a chance to take your Christmas card photos. |
