Thank you very much to the EA & SE Branch of The Bearded Collie Club for inviting me to judge the working tests. It was lovely to see happy outgoing Beardies and friendly handlers. The village hall facilities were very good with a large accompanying field. I enjoyed my day – thank you for the gifts.

Primary - 2 entries – 2 passes

Beabeardies Blue Monday (Beryl) – Lynn Bevis. Score 87
This delightful puppy completed all the exercises successfully because she has such a good rapport with Lynn. Well done.

Beabeardies TreacleToffee at Beardora (Lola) – Lynn Bevis. Score 97
Lola worked all the exercises confidently listening to Lynn and responding well.

Junior - 2 entries – 2 passes

I am glad Lynn decided to attempt the Junior Test because Lola passed with flying colours. Now she can work towards the Intermediate!

Chelsasa Open Secret (Casey) – Ann Trodd. Score 98
Casey worked with verve and enjoyment only losing marks for being too friendly. Well done Ann.

Intermediate – 3 entries – 2 passes

Potterdale Heritage SHCEX (Freddie) – Jenny Salmon. Score 91
Freddie just lost the odd mark on each exercise but worked very confidently. Jenny worked with confidence as well which always helps a dog. Well done to you both.

Potterdale Peace Rose (Zena) – Maureen Sale. Score 97
Maureen was not sure if Zena could complete the test due to lack of training because of her own injury. Zena proved her wrong and worked a competent round. Well done.

Chelsasa Open Secret (Casey) – Ann Trodd
Unfortunately Casey was not sharp enough with the stop on recall test. However he did the heelwork exercises very well! Good luck next time Ann.

Senior – 2 entries – 2 passes

Potterdale Piper (Piper) – Jenny Salmon. Score 95
I was so pleased to award Piper and Jenny the Senior Test. They both worked very well just losing the odd mark here and there. He was very worthy of his pass.

Chelsasa Svitolina (Elena - Beardie cross) - Vanessa Pooley. Score 94.
This was another very competent Senior Test . I was delighted to award both of them the pass. Well done.

I felt that all the dogs deserved their passes so handlers should feel proud.

We enjoyed another lovely Beardie picnic and taking working tests at Plush, Dorset at the kind invitation of Beardie owners Rob and Jo Hicks. The 14+ Beardies also enjoyed a group training session.
